Dehradun: Five army personnel were martyred in the terrorist attack in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. All these soldiers were residents of Uttarakhand. As the bodies of the martyrs wrapped in the tricolor reached Uttarakhand, the whole state was immersed in mourning. The brave sons wrapped in the tricolor were given a tearful farewell in Dehradun. During this, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present.
After the martyrdom of five soldiers of Uttarakhand together, a wave of mourning ran across the state. Along with this, there is mourning in the homes of the martyrs as well. A pall of gloom descended on the families of the martyrs. Of the five martyred soldiers, two were from Pauri, two from Tehri and one from Rudraprayag, whose bodies reached Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun , where after paying tribute, all the bodies were taken to their homes with state honors. Their last rites will be performed in their native village.
CM Dhami said – the sacrifice will not go in vain
CM Dhami said that the sacrifice of the soldiers will not go in vain. Our brave soldiers have made the supreme sacrifice for the motherland while maintaining the rich military tradition of Uttarakhand. The enemies of humanity and the terrorists guilty of this cowardly attack will not be spared at any cost. Also, those who give them shelter will also have to bear the brunt of it. He said that in this hour of grief, the entire state stands with the family of the martyr.

Terrorists attacked by laying an ambush
It is worth noting that terrorists suddenly attacked an army vehicle with a grenade in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir (Kathua Terror Attack). In this ambush attack, 5 army soldiers were martyred while five other soldiers were also injured. All the martyred soldiers were from Uttarakhand.
Earlier six terrorists were killed in two encounters in Kulgam, Kashmir. During this, two soldiers were martyred. Officials said that the bodies of two terrorists were recovered in the Modergam encounter while four bodies were recovered from Chinnigam.
